Sentean Hospitality Group to Merge with CareServant (English version)

ZALTBOMMEL/EINDHOVEN, March 25, 2022

Sentean Hospitality Group, one of the largest providers of infotainment & patient engagement solutions in the Netherlands, known as Patientline in the hospital industry, and CareServant, a previous healthcare subsidiary of Philips serving hospital patient engagement solutions in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Germany, France and Switzerland, announced today that they have entered into a definitive agreement for a business combination. The combined company have their Headquarters in Eindhoven (The Netherlands).
“By merging our companies, we significantly expand our footprint in the healthcare vertical – in Cure and Care, in the Netherlands and abroad. It’s a very exciting time,” said Willem-Jan te Riele, CEO at Sentean Group. “It is all about enabling healthcare institutions to speed up digital transformation in the area of patient experience and care processes, thereby making them more efficient and more competitive.” adds te Riele.
Upon closing, Willem-Jan te Riele will serve as Sentean CareServant Group’s chief executive officer. The Management Team will also include Jurjen Eisink (CTO), Jan Catsburg (CFO) and George Frey (CCO).
The new group’s dominant position in the digitally advanced Dutch hospital market – with a nearly 50% share of Patient Engagement solutions – and its successful iOS deployments with iPads & Apple TV (“Apple first strategy”) will be the foundation of its aggressive local and international growth strategy.
The merger will create a new holding entity, wholly owning the well-established market-facing companies CareServant BV, New Patientline BV and iQmount BV, who will continue to serve their respective customers and business partners.
This group of companies can leverage the entire network, by creating a wider range of products, services, and support across the whole territory. With offices in Eindhoven and Vienna the company is also planning to open an office in the United States later this year.
